Card payment without a PayPal account

When PayPal offers guest checkout, you can use an eligible debit or credit card without signing in to or creating a PayPal account. Guest checkout is not shown for every transaction; availability depends on PayPal’s eligibility checks and the customer’s location, among other factors.

How to check the available option

Review your cart, complete the delivery information and select PayPal during checkout. On the PayPal screen, look for the debit or credit card payment option. If it appears, follow the displayed instructions and enter your payment details directly on that page.

Card acceptance depends on the options offered for your payment. This page no longer gives separate instructions claiming that AMEX, Discover or JCB are processed through a different direct card checkout.
